Deny

Self Denial by Jobin Daniel

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envying, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like...But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control….”

Galatians 5:19-23

Starving and denying our flesh will lead to harmony among those around us. If we live in the flesh, and give priority to the fleshly desires, we will become lovers of self. And do things which benefit us, but harm others. Being in the spirit, and walking in the spirit means to be in tune with God and others. God wants us to love others, be kind, gentle and nurturing to each others needs. All of which will come from denying our flesh first, and giving importance to the spirit person living inside of us.
